LONG BEACH, CA - Rapper Nate Dogg, whose real name is Nathaniel Hale, died Tuesday, March 15th, 2011 in Long Beach.
The cause of death has not been immediately released when Nate Dogg's family announced the death of the well known rapper to the Long Beach Press Telegram, however Nate Dogg had suffered two recent strokes, one in 2007, which left him partially paralyzed, and another stroke in 2008.
Nate Dogg was a four-time Grammy nominee and a major participant in the West Coast G-Funk sound, contributing memorable and chart-topping hooks to hits spanning the past two decades, starting with his heavy featuring on Dr. Dre's The Chronic.
Rapper Snoop Dogg took to his twitter just hours following the death of Nate Dogg saying
"We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb," he tweeted last night. "One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met." Snoop Dogg later went on saying "I love you buddy luv. U will always b wit me 4ever n a day u put the g n g funk u put the 1 n 213 n u put yo stamp on evrybdy u ever didit wit. I miss u cuzz I am so sad but so happy I got to grow up with u and I will c u again n heaven cuz u know d slogan... all doggs go to heaven yo homie n baby brotha bigg snoopdogg!! RIP NATE DOGG."

Aflac Fires Gilbert Gottfried For Tsunami Jokes

HOLLYWOOD, CA - The well known voice of the Aflac Duck for the nationwide Aflac Insurance company is none other than actor and comedian Gilbert Gottfried. That was until he was just fired Monday, March 14th, 2011 for making some highly inappropriate jokes about the recent Tsunami.
In just one day following the March 11th Tsunami in Japan, actor Gilbert Gottfried released some public jokes via Twitter about the natural disaster which has left thousands of people dead, and thousands more still missing. Talk about a very inappropriate time for jokes about a sensitive topic... not that any time would be a good time. I don't think American's would like it very much if a public figure joked about 9/11.

Gilbert Gottfried has yet to release a public apology for the uncalled for Tsunami jokes, but certainly he will be sorry for getting kicked to the curb by Aflac and destroying his reputation with a few tweets... I thought ducks quack? Silly duck, tweeting is for birds! For this reason Gilbert Gottfried has gone from Hollywood Fame to Hollywood Shame... Welcome to our Hollywood Hall of Shame Gottfried!!
Aflac has since released a statement saying "Gilbert’s recent comments about the crisis in Japan were lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts and feelings of anyone at Aflac ... Aflac will immediately set plans in motion to conduct a nationwide casting call to find a new voice of the iconic Aflac Duck."
We attempted to get Gilbert Gottfried to comment, but the only comment we got from him was "How did you get this number?!" Richard Hatch Sent Back To Jail

PROVIDENCE, RI - Survivor reality show winner, Richard Hatch, has turned himself into US Marshals in Providence, RI today for a federal probation violation which stemmed from his failure to pay taxes on his previous $1MIL winnings.
Rumor was that Richard Hatch would have to serve nine months, however a US District Attorney suggested six months to a Providence federal judge this afternoon.
Richard Hatch first failed to report his taxes for 2000 and 2001 and was later ordered to pay the IRS in excess of $400,000 and when Hatch failed to pay this money, he was sentenced to three years in prison. Upon his release he was put on supervised probation, one of the conditions was to re-file his previous years taxes, which he still failed to do. The IRS is now demanding $1.7MIL dollars in back-taxes and penalities and interest, almost double his $1MIL winnings from the Survivor show.
Is this insane, or is this reasonable considering his failure to pay for such a long period of time, and his lack to comply with his probation to at least attempt to pay any of the money owed?
The big question buzzing right now is if Richard Hatch will be out of jail in time for the final live show of Celebrity Apprentice. Although the shows have just begun airing, all of the shows have already been filmed except the final live show. Lips are locked about whether or not Hatch has made the final two contestants or not of Donald Trump's reality show, however Hatch may have some outside help from an influencial person to get him out of jail sooner.
In an interview with People Magazine Donald Trump said that he is going to see what he can do to get Richard Hatch out of jail sooner, possibly on "good behavior"... Is this code for Donald Trump will be paying the back-taxes owed to the IRS? Donald Trump has confirmed that he is "thinking about it".
This leads us to believe that Richard Hatch has either left a very impressionable reputation with Trump, or Hatch just may be one of the final two contestants and is expected to film the final live show.
If Richard Hatch is in fact one of the final contestants it will put Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice complete in jeopardy for this season since all of the shows have already been filmed and there is no going back should Hatch be in the final. Hatch will either need to be out by the time of the final show, or Donald Trump is going to have to run a live feed from the federal prison to reveal the Celebrity Apprentice winner... this should be interesting!
Whether Richard Hatch wins the Celebrity Apprentice or not he has certainly taken himself from Hollywood Fame to Hollywood Shame with his failure to pay Uncle Sam and his failure to comply with his probation and court orders. Welcome to our Hollywood Hall of Shame Richard Hatch!!

Now up for bids on the entertainment and paparazzi auction block is the Usher sex tape. Several entertainment outlets and celebrity news and gossip websites have been approached with the sex tape, offering small clips and image captures as proof of its existance, and sure enough, it is Usher in the video.
The person offering the video must not remember that just over one year ago Usher reported his car being broken into with over $1MIL worth of jewelry and electronics missing, including two laptops, one of which just may have had this sex tape on it. Do I hear a police sting in the near future to catch the Usher sex tape bandit?

Arrest Warrant For Michael Madsen

LOS ANGELES, CA - A California court has issued a warrant for the arrest of the Kill Bill movie star Michael Madsen on Friday, March 11th, 2011.
Actor Michael Madsen is accused of being a dead-beat-dad and allegedly owes his children's mother over a half million dollars in back child support. The arrest warrant was issued after Madsen failed to appear in court last week.
Michael Madsen is best known for his work in movies Kill Bill and also Reservoir Dogs.The brother of actress Virginia Madsen, Michael Madsen filed bankruptcy back in 2009. He owes actor Pierce Brosnan $25,000 and Quentin Tarantino a million dollars. He has five children from three different marriages. The recent report did not indicate to which wife or wives he owes the back child support.
If his back child support and money he owes fellow actors isn't enough, once cops catch up with Michael Madsen he will owe them money too since his bail has already been set to $26,000.

LOS ANGELES, CA - It was almost one week ago that millions of people were told that Charlie Sheen was hiring a marketing intern to assist Sheen with his online social networking, this buzz came as a result of a tweet on Charlie Sheen's Twitter account, that turned out to be nothing more than a Twitter endorsement for Internships.com.
The national media took to the story of Charlie Sheen's intern and the word spread like wildfire which only gained sheen more of a following and achieved more click-through's via Sheen's endorsement tweet. A click-through is each time someone clicks on the link on Sheen's tweet. Many companies, organizations and websites are now paying celebrities and highly followed people on twitter to advertise their product or service, and the more people that click on that endorsed link, the more money that celebrity or highly followed people will earn.
Internships.com refused to comment on just how much Charlie Sheen earned as a result of posting the endorsement tweet on Twitter.com. They did confirm that it was the highest paid tweet in history and that can only lead us to believe that Sheen's earnings are in excess of $50,000 since that was the previous record earning for an endorsement tweet based on compensation for a specified amount for each click-through.
Charlie Sheen and Internships.com said that Sheen's intern would be announced by March 12th, 2011 and to no surprise there was no mention of who Charlie Sheen's intern is. This just tells us that indeed this was nothing more than an advertisement that Sheen posted via twitter because of his high amount of followers and he never had intentions on hiring an intern to begin with. Having such a naturally high following, who would think that he would need someone to get him more followers anyways, he is doing a good enough job at this on his own.
Maybe Charlie Sheen should hire someone to get him out of the hole that he is digging with this highly buzzed hoax? This story is once again taking Charlie Sheen from Hollywood Fame to Hollywood Shame as the leading Hall of Shamer.
While Charlie Sheen's Twitter post for an intern may have been a hoax and strictly an advertising blitz, he is not doing as bad as some people may think. Oksana Suing Mel Gibson

LOS ANGELES, CA - Mel Gibson was charged by the Los Angeles District Attorney with Misdemeanor Assault Friday, March 11th, 2011. Gibson accepted a plea bargain where he pled "no contest" to the charges and just hours after being charged Gibson was sentenced to probation, fines, community service, a one-year domestic violence course and mental health counselin. The plea bargain Mel Gibson accepted legally means that he has not admitted guilt in the case. In a no contest plea you accept the consequences for what you are charged with. but avoid saying that you're guilty.
Should Mel have pled or been found guilty of the charges he may have had the same consequences resulting from the charges, however it would give the victim(s) in the case the opportunity to file a civil suit against the defendant, but even though Mel took a no contest plea, Oksana Grigorieva and her lawyer says "this doesn't change anything" and they plan to still move forward with a civil suit against Gibson.
It will be a difficult case for Oksana since Mel didn't admit guilt, however Oksana's lawyer, Daniel Horowitz, says that he is confident that they will be successful in their lawsuit against actor Mel Gibson.

LOS ANGELES, CA - Charlie Sheen may have been fired from Two and A Half Men by Warner Brothers, but in his infamous Twitter quote, Sheen is #WINNING after he reportedly lands a movie deal, resuming his role in a sequal to an upcoming movie, Major League 3.
Hmm... Morgan Creek Prez said he wouldn't make a movie with Sheen in his current state.
Morgan Creek Prez said "Obviously with Major League 3 there’s a huge part written for Charlie’s character … but after dealing with Lindsay Lohan on Georgia Rule, I can speak for someone who has experienced the difficulties of working with an actor dealing with addiction." Morgan continues, "I won’t go through that again. If Charlie doesn’t straighten up … I unfortunately can’t put him in the movie."
Perhaps Morgan Creek has had a change of heart, since his rep confirmed that not only is Charlie Sheen interested in the movie role, but overall the meeting with Sheen and movie execs went really well. "Charlie looked great, acted great, sounded great, and was very much on point. [James] said he never sounded better."
In recent days many people thought that Charlie Sheen was losing his mind, and on a self-destructive path to a melt-down, or even worse, the possibility of suicide. However, according to the Morgan Creek rep, Sheen may very well be in control of all his madness.
Aside from news of the recent Major League 3 movie deal, the troubled actor is now creating his own gigs. He has appeared on a new live-streaming talk show Sheen's Korner on uStream, and is planning a live stage tour called the My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option Show.

Mel Gibson Charged With Assault

Los Angeles, CA - Earlier today the Los Angeles District Attorney charged Actor Mel Gibson with misdemeanor assault charges and Gibson answered to the charges in court this afternoon. A plea deal was offered and accepted and Mel Gibson will not go to jail.
Mel Gibson accepted a plea bargain offered to him today in order to immediately resolve the case, just hours after the Los Angeles District Attorney charged the actor with misdemeanor assault charges. In case you are wondering, Oksana Grigorieva will not face any charges at all.
Below we will post two videos, one showing Mel arriving at the Los Angeles courthouse and the other showing Mel Gibson in the courtroom answering to his charges and being sentenced by a judge. So what was his sentence? As we said, there will be no jail time in the case, but Gibson will have to pay fines, which amount to almost nothing compared to the net-worth of Gibson, he was sentenced to only 16 hours of community service, which he will complete at a childrens organization that he supports (no street or highway cleaning), and he was sentenced to probation with a suspended sentence for three years, during which time he must complete a one year domestic violence course, as well as additional counseling... it all seems like a slap on the hand, considering the slap that brought Mel Gibson to the court's mercy in the first place.

Ashton Jones Voted Off American Idol

HOLLYWOOD, CA - The first would-be idol, Ashton Jones, returns home to Valdosta, Georgia today after being voted off American Idol Thursday night for the second time.
Ashton Jones was a judges choice for the top 24 contestants during the Vegas Week stages of the show, but after America voted for who they believed should be in the top 12, or at least what should have been the top 12 until judges decided to use a third wild card, Ashton Jones was not voted through. American Idol judges used a wild-card to save Jones from what many people felt was a well deserved elimination, and introduced the top 13 American Idol contestants to America.
This season the American Idol judges have one opportunity to use a "save" on any one of the contestants, but the save can only be used once during this entire season. Judges chose not to use the save on Ashton Jones, and we completely agree with this decision. If Jones wasn't voted through in the first place, resulting in the judges using a wild-card on her, it's probably a good thing that the judges realized that America is still not voting for Ashton Jones and they should save their wild-card for someone more deseving.
Which idols do we think are more deserving? Our top five choices for the most talented contestants this year are Pia Toscano, James Durbin, Scotty McCreery, Thia Megia, and Lauren Alaina. Our fifth idol choice is in the air though since Lauren Alaina is someone we feel is ultimately a very good singer, but we questioned our stand after Wednesday nights performance. Our favorite, who we think will win American Idol season 10: Pia Toscano.
